. Happy birthday to Email-Postman – we’re celebrating our fourth birthday!

When Email-Postman launched in February 2019, we had all the usual hopes and fears that go along with ‘going it alone’. However, we’re delighted to say we’ve not only survived but thrived, helping tens of customers along the way!

Shaun Reynolds, founder of Email-Postman, has been working exclusively with email marketing since 2005. So, he already knew how powerful it is as a marketing tool!

Many digital marketing agencies combine elements of digital, like SEO and social media, and email marketing is just one aspect they offer. Not so for Email-Postman. I always intended to keep us as a pure email marketing agency, a true specialist. When our clients come to us, they know they’ll get the best service, help and advice possible. We’re the experts because we know this channel inside out, back to front, and every which way!”

It’s been quite the ride so far. Within eighteen months, Email-Postman had helped more than forty clients with their email marketing campaigns. We’ve gained Klaviyo Master Silver Partner status and become a Mailchimp accredited expert. And now, four years after launch, we’re just a hat trick short of the 100th client mark!

“All this shows that email marketing is still a valued channel, and with good reason; the targeted nature means the return on investment remains higher than for any other channel. Of course, the industry has seen many advances in the tools available, such as email marketing platforms and supporting software. For example, we’ve built a great platform called Email-Heatmaps. This puts a heatmap over sent campaigns, so you can see instantly which calls-to-action were the most popular. All these tools have made email marketing a lot easier and even more effective.”

Whilst it’s advantageous that email marketing platforms have evolved, the flip side is they’ve become more complex. Add updates in privacy and data control legislation, plus GDPR, and email marketing can feel like a daunting prospect. Busy marketing managers have found even more pressure placed upon them, and so increasingly, people are turning to specialists to help them with their email marketing, whether for a one-off campaign or on an ongoing basis. Shaun says, “We’re here to provide as much or as little help as needed. For instance, setting up a new platform can take time and demands technical expertise to configure the DKIM and DMARC correctly. If they’re not, that will affect the deliverability of your emails. You also need to create templates and import and organise data lists before you can even start planning a strategy for your campaign, let alone sending it!
